I’ve been lazy on the update the last couple days. Sorry.
Finished up the long side on Tuesday, minus a front outrigger and jack point.
Jason started fitting parts ahead of me on Tuesday so yesterday was a weld fest for me.
Top hat sections, inner rocker, rear out rigger and jack point, rear outer rocker section, small frame patch, heat tubes, new clutch cable tube, rear bulk head patches, and a fancy heat tube elbow Jason made up.
Fitting cargo door rocker this morning. Going to get the pass side buttoned up today then move onto the cab area.

We’ve hit a stopping point on this one for the time being.
One more frame repair needs to be done around the pass side inner/outer frame rail at the torsion housing.
Front center section and outer passenger front frame repair done.

I have a feeling this will be driving sooner then most of us would guess.
If you’re going to use sound deadening insulation on the backside of the nose I would take care of that before you do any wiring upfront.
Keeps us updated. We like pics!

When you weren’t back within two hours of your appointment we were all wondering if you got arrested or some shit. LOL.
Just over 30 days until BBB 2020….Better spend some of that Dario money on an interior quick!

Started cutting the junk out on Monday around front and rear center sections.
Finished dissecting those areas yesterday morning and started putting things back together.
Pass side rear inner and outer frame repairs.
Driver side rear inner and outer frame repairs.
Rear center section done.
We had a small section of Gerson frame with the bends in it to take care of a portion of the inner passenger front frame repair, along with a section of plate we had to finish it up.
Knocked out one of the front driver side inner frame repairs at the end of the day. One more repair to go, then the new front center section can go in.

Though I was done with fab on Thursday but had to make up a few tabs on Friday.
Threaded in support wires the rest of Friday.
Got back at it yesterday and finished tying all the support wires together. Ready for epoxy sealer.

Working on the seat base this morning. Replacing/fixing broken springs.
All of the wire supports that tie the spring together were broken.
This pile of bits should be 24 spring supports.
Started on new ones. Four down twenty to go.
Fourteen bends to make each one.

Back on this one today. Spun and milled a e-brake cable pivot pin that was missing.
Had to make a pair of e-brake cable extenders to make the small nut non-split trans e-brake cables work. All bolt in now, no mods required when cables need replacing.
Franz installed the late model beetle dual master cylinder were running and bent up the last couple hard lines as well.

Were going to bolt on the removables and leave it on the dolly. Brent is going to haul it home and take care of the rest.
Sealing wax red bits are drying now.
Next round will be beige grey. Sanded and hung. Ready to go as soon as round one is dry.
