I don’t like the idea of cutting up your exterior.
Could you work a flexible hose through the side gap next to the stock filler? Small mount plate tacked in for support at the upper end.

Yup…
Finished the rear trans supports this morning to make it removable for the swinger trans.
Drilled a couple of speed holes and trimmed off any excess from the mount. Fit and burned in along with a top strap. Trans mounts done!
Front brake line tabs and seat belt mounts done!
Knockn em off the list. Batt stuff next.
Newbies gettin it done!

Abracadabra!
Patch panel and miscellaneous pinhole welding done on passenger rear pan area.
Coat of seam sealer top and bottom to cover any misc pinholes or areas that I knew better than try and weld.
I feel like there’s only one more area that needs attention, that’s the rear driver fender well/seat back/body tub area.
I could easily put my finger through the worst spots.

Finished the drivers side repairs.
Had to add a nut to the patch panel for the lowest fender mount point.
Burned in, welds dressed.
Coat of spray bomb for protection.
Pass side looks to be about the same. Junk out. Ready for patch panel fab.
Few holes to attend to along the side of the pass front seat.
Batt tray area also needs love.

Smashed out the smashed in driver rear pan section.
Chopped the junk out of the outer rocker. Bent up a patch panel. Fitting it now.

JJ blasted and hung parts for paint yesterday.
I also knocked out seat mounts yesterday.

Templated all of the gussets that we need. Going to have them cut at the local steel shop.
Welded all the main cage joints.
Fit and tacked in frame horn supports.

That’s what we’ve done in the past.
Make sure you get any new plastic sliders, clips, etc. that you can. Those usually crumble when pulled apart. Take one window apart first so u know what you need.
