Thanks for the update, and finding and fixing all that stuff.

Sidehill’s 73 beetle getting 28mm venturies in the 44 Webers to replace the 36mm venturies. Should make the 2007cc/Engle 110 run better at low speed/altitude.BF6E641D-5EA4-4CB8-9CA9-E00C96DCE496D907FF8A-98D2-44BE-9372-671ACC88C78E

New oil hoses and filter. The nice thing about barb fittings and rubber hose is that you can loop the system to remove the cooler or filter in the event of leak.

I added some thermal heat sleeve to the oil lines, then did some test/tune sessions this afternoon on Sidehill’s 74 beetle. The engine seemed to like 47 idle jets, 115 mains and 200 airs on f11 emulsions with the 28mm venturies. It’s a crispy running machine(would probably run lean/hot if driven down in altitude).

The current suspension is very driveable. It handles great!… But I can understand that the trails in Silverton require more ground clearance.

I re-indexed the torsion bars and notched the atomworks lifted spring plates to allow for max type 4 cv angle @23 degrees. It should ride about 1” taller with the spring plates set at 20 degrees.

Simple torsion adjustment of the front beam should get it up to match.
