AHH.. NEW project time!!!! I started looking things over Thursday on this rig and then helped a friend paint a ghia on Friday…
I figured the cargo doors had been left on for a reason… and yeah, they didn’t line up.. Bent the upper right hinge, and lower left hinge and got things lined up again…
Going to work on hanging parts and checking fits, and addressing the last metal work stuff… and order what metal Ineed. Looks like the dog logs need some love, and some misc stuff….
But wanted to get this thread started!
Never make someone a priority, that makes You and Option. 🤔🤔🤔🥲
It has been some time since we did a Deluxe!!! was the last one Parkers 21??
I don’t recall, is this rig going all stock?

Riley dissected the drivers side dogleg.
Front cargo door lower inner section up next.
Pass front door fit done.
Starting on dogleg repairs/replacement.
We will build it if it comes.
Heck yeah! Hopefully, this is one of those rare projects you all come across where there aren’t any crazy surprises. The nice thing is you can also bug Cole about stuff the whole time!
Hey there and heck yassss! This is Tom of Tom’s 23 Window Deluxe, and I am so thrilled to see her in the shop! I have owned this rolling shell and its myriad of parts for about, oh… 308 months! So excited to have it in the right hands!
Between this and the Shasta 2023 single Im pretty stoked! Looks like it’s been in primer, did it come from another shop?

That’s been a tough question for me John. My first bus was a lowered 21 window, and the personality of that thing was just so much fun. For this one I’m thinking stock but with engine and transmission upgrades to make her highway safe. I’m definitely open to ideas. Chime in everyone!
Yes on stock for the colors though. Too gorgeous with that Turkis!

Couldn’t hurt to lower is some with modern tires to go along with the engine/trans upgrades.
Wow
Youve held on to this one for a long time. I can see why, it looks straight and dry !
yea, its in the right hands..

I’d agree; I thought Parker’s 21 had a very street friendly and usable stance, bonus was no reduction boxes to mess with. It’ll be nice whatever route you choose!
Hi Tom!! Stoked to see you on here already! Happy and engaged customers creates that fairy dust at KCW and makes us even more of a kick ass team!! 👏🏻
Productive day in the Dirty yesterday 👌🏻
sponge bath for every inch – super dirty + wrapping our heads around the metal work that needs done still.
started hanging parts to make sure the fits are right. Looks like there was an accident in the rear driver corner at one point, so the whole corner of the bus is crooked there… JJ pulled out the porta power and we got the decklid opening back to a square 👌🏻Decklid, engine lid, apron, and passenger door are fitted 👌🏻 Driver and cargo doors are waiting for the metal work around them /on them before they’re fully fitted.
more metal work for that corner… JJ got it looking much better in a couple spots 👌🏻
I metal worked the decklid and engine lid yesterday, and body worked the engine lid – it’s almost ready for poly 👍🏻
Back on it today!!
engine lid about ready for poly, working on sanding all the rust off the hatch around the hinge then body working it 👍🏻JJs handling the dogleg 👌🏻
