in reply to: 1960 Double Door Panel #40887I say build a baja bus. Maybe a 23 window conversion. Roll cage, race seats, big tires, lifted IRS,
in reply to: Brent’s 66 SO42 Body resto! #40886Wrong vin and m-code tag for the bus…Somebody swapped them. Maybe it was stolen?
Its obviously a 66 not a 64.

in reply to: Je$$e’s (aka Tintop) Projects #40860Jesse got a bus. Looks super solid and OG sealer on the inside.
in reply to: Tabeguache Trailblazers #40843Building parts for the new 73 Baja today. I hope to have this car together by spring…maybe we can do backroads to Moab for Ottinger’s tour or something…
Refreshed the old engine with a new set of bearings and a machined case. Going to be a 1914cc with 9:1 ish compression, Engle 110 cam advanced 4 degrees, and strait cut cam gears.
I’m going with a link pin front end. Started with a OG needle bearing beam, added adjusters and Empi shock towers.
Gusseted 356 spindles, tool steel speedo insert, brass bushings, and link pins with lock nuts. The best super stock set-up.in reply to: Brent’s 66 SO42 Body resto! #40828Yeah we can painting the entire bottom side body color. We’ve done a bunch like that. It’s actually easier.
We’ve gotten in a groove of doing the bottom side in factory detail.

in reply to: Parkway projects #40743Jim hazelhurst’s beetle in for an oil cooler leak. It was a mess. I cleaned + tested to make sure the issue is fixed. Ready to assemble tomorrow.
in reply to: KCW randomness #40733Dude! whats up? Did you fill the engine case with gas? Bad float?
in reply to: Je$$e’s (aka Tintop) Projects #40732I keep tell you that is the transaxle mainshaft bearing….not the throw-out bearing.
…It has opposite symptoms. Quiet when the clutch is pressed, and noise when the transaxle is spinning.
