We thought about velvet green (gorgeous color).  Info I’ve found indicates that for chassis numbers 216 000 001 to 217 148 459 velvet green (L 512) was used on two-tone paint jobs with pearl white (L 87) – but not with beige grey.  We’ve already committed to beige grey above, because I’ve had custom powder produced for beige grey and powdercoated some parts in it (parcel tray, safari frames, and a few other small parts).

I totally agree – my favorite VW color of all time is Dove Blue!  And, if we were going to change color it would be to white over green – but, I don’t see anywhere that beige grey (sort of white) over green was ever used…

The m-code plate was not in the bus when you dropped it off just the vin tag on the fresh air box.

Dash body worked and 2K primed. 

We will build it if it comes.

The M code tag is the one on the bulkhead behind the passenger seat, right?  If so here are the only numbers on it:

We would do the bottom side all sealing wax red usually.

VW never fully painted the bottom sides. They were dipped in sealer then when painted only the visible areas, when on its wheels, of the underside we’re covered with lower body color paint.

We have in the past done what we’ve dubbed as “factory crisp”. That’s lower body color in the wheel wells and up to the frame rails then leave it in sealer between the frame rails. Factory crisp requires a lot of masking and two paint sessions.

We will build it if it comes.

FIRST RATE, for sure!!!  So, just so I understand, between frame rails stays in primer?  Is it worth taping between the frame rails?  Or is the additional paint to paint it all not worth the expense?

Yeah we can painting the entire bottom side body color. We’ve done a bunch like that. It’s actually easier.

We’ve gotten in a groove of doing the bottom side in factory detail.
