in reply to: Kelly’s forever barndoor project #1147Barndoor heater boxes. The problem is that round cradle/frame horn support on the chassis is exactly in the middle of the heater box outlet. I use a 2 3/8″ steel doughnut from chassisshop.com to make a tight “s” bend around it.

in reply to: 54 camping box #1031I modified a 53-54 strap-top air cleaner to fit the Zenith carb, cut out the oil bath stuff, and modified to use a K&N paper/gauze air filter. Part number ka-2288

The throttle linkage didn’t line up with the hole for the throttle cable in the fan shroud. I could simply move the throttle cable over if the oil cooler wasn’t in the way. Â I made a bellcrank similar to what Porsche 356 has on the back of the fan shroud.
