I will take it.  I just got to figure out when I can get out there.  Got any pictures of it you can post?  Curious what version you have.

Making some great progress.  You will have your DD on the road before I get mine going.  Keep up the progress.

It is still an option.  I honestly have nearly no knowledge of IRS stuff.  Not sure if I can raise it much over stock without dropping money on bigger arms, 930 CVs etc.  low budget is the goal here.  Figured I could find this no hop crap fairly cheap since everyone who is into off-road has gone to IRS, and bigger, better things.

I have to find the old pictures of the smuggler when it headed to KCW. The art work was amazing.   😀

Still on the fence as to what direction I will go with the buggy.  I still like the idea of link pin and reduction boxes on the full length ’61 pan.  I am picking up a drum to drum link pin this afternoon from a local guy who is throwing in a full length IRS pan with rear arms and brakes for $50. Couldn’t pass that up.

Rusty if you decide to not butcher the no hop let me know.

It’s amazing what you have done with that bus.  I forgot how damn ugly it was and all the bullet holes.

Well it is a lot cheaper than a race car

Yeah I have been researching these Sportsters. Pretty interesting cars overall and so many variations from the plans. I actually got a set of plans with mine.

In my research the no hop kit helps (but doesn’t completely rid it) keep things from jumping up on hard acceleration. I am not an off-road Kamikaze. Just want low gearing and ground clearance. I have thousands of my miles of forest roads right behind my house to explore, some maintained some not with lots of creeks to cross.   Plus the coastal sand dunes are 40 minutes south of my house.

I am also probably just going to run one of the two single port motors it came with.

Rusty, if you’re not wanting to keep your no hop kit let me know

Damn Franz.  Is there anything you are just shitty at?  Pin striping now.  You are one talented mofo.

Very nice work on the bus fixes and pin stripe.

John, you say you might have some of those Johnson no hops laying around?

Let’s not forget, as ugly as it is, it does run.  No brakes outside of the emergency brake but it still goes.

Hahaha. I just started busting up at the table.  The wife and daughter are wondering why I am giggling.
