Listening to these guys excitement about BMX.. racing…. How they felt in the gate before the main event…. I miss feelings like those..  I think they are harder to feel the older you get too….  Makes me want to race something again….  badly…. I used to be real serious about my toy racing back in the day…  I couldn’t wait to go racing on the weekends..  Going out of town was awesome.. Those butterflies witing ont he start….  that was just tor car racing…    I dunno if I want to play with “toys” again… or something “real”.. real.. thats funny there!!!!!

Thanks for the info Franz. I’m kind of going away from the retro look now. That third link looks promising. If I knew a large was good for me, I’d have Rusty go pick it up for me and bring it to Moab.

Well, after talking to a bunch of MB riders here about “fat tires”, I decided to shelf the idea and just bought a new 29’er with an XXL frame. Test rode it in the parking lot and fell in love with it.  It’s a Fuji Nevada 29. Kind of fitting, I grew up in NV.

Yep! Made some major dietary changes and got my weight down 40lbs. Got plenty more to go, but kind of hit the wall weight loss wise with just diet. About all I can do is walk or ride, and I hate walking as it gets painful on the joints. So I got the road bike Kevin gave me back in riding condition, and want to do some dirt trails too. Plus, I can take this MB to Havasu and Moab and not have to walk everywhere.

It all ties into the ultra light I’m building too. The max pilot weight is 275lbs, and I was way over that. I’m down to 255-260ish now, with a target of 230lbs.

Holden had a great weekend! 5th in the state and his football team finished the season 6-0. Off to the championship bowl for him.
