Well crap. It’s been a long, hectic 5 months since I last posted on here. Shortly after I blew up my football up I got super busy at work for several months working crazy overtime. I did manage to sell off some toys ( model T roadster, Cushman scooters, the metropolitan, my enclosed trailer and the short bus from the build off). It freed up some money for cheaper toys and to pay off a few things.
So initially I wanted a fiberglass buggy to lower and mess with for fun. Sled offered me his very unusual fiberglass buggy body so I jumped on it. A friend of mine went with me to NE Washington state to pick up it up.
It is odd having a hinged hood and funky windshield. While I was out in the sticks I was scrolling thru Craigslist in the area and spotted a 1936 Chevy 2 ton dump truck for sale at a very reasonable price. So it couldn’t hurt to look right? It was love at first sight. 2 owner truck with just over 36000 original miles, original paint, runs and drives (original straight 6), 2 speed rear end and the PTO and dump bed work. Problem was we tried to load it on my trailer and it crushed it. So I had to pay the farmers friend to haul it 7.5 hours one way home for me. I paid nearly as much for the transport as I did the truck.
Only thing I have done was replace the fuel filter and lines, tune up, valve adjustment and changed the oil. The original exhaust had rusted off so I threw a Flowmaster on it for fun. It’s a blast. Top cruising speed is 50. I drive it all over the place.
Recently I can’t seem to shake the pre war car addiction. I sold my model T roadster as the doors were so small it was hard as hell for my fat ass to get into. So I bought a ’26 coupe for a good price as it has much larger doors.
On the way home with it I stopped by a vintage car junkyard to see if they had a few things for my new toy. Unfortunately they didn’t but I made a deal on two car bodies I have been lusting after for 2 years. The owner finally sold them to me for a package deal so I brought home a 1920 Cadillac Phaeton Type 57 Body and a 1916 (one year only) Inter-State Roadster body. I have no idea what I will do with them but the Cadillac might make an unusual hot rod since all I have is the body. It did come with the doors but not much else.
The guy thought it was a 1919 so he painted that on it so he wouldn’t forget what it was. It’s actually a 1920.
That’s the latest with me. I am finally starting to work on my Empi Sportster and will hopeful keep this thread more active with updates on it’s build.

Hope you all have a blast out there
in reply to: Subaru bullshit! #12935I might have an empty trailer heading to Andy’s when I go to pick up my Big Bitch. I can probably do it cheaper than most transport companies.
