It’s true on public roads I couldn’t stay alive or out of jail long on one but that is because I like to wring the living piss out of anything and I often forget I’m not on a closed course. But I reckon most people posses a common sense I lack. Ā I would get an EBR1190. They have so much grunt! I think Buell bikes will be sought after some day. Here is a 1190 that Ronin (Magpull) built that I raced Pikes Peak on in 2015:

Despite the crazy looking front end it was the best handling bike I have ever flogged.

This is going to be awesome. I am excited to see the build and then the wheelies.

Hey Andy, could you touch base with me ? I have a local guy who wants to build a Suby powered hill climb buggy and Iā€™d like him to be in touch with someone who knows what they are talking about. Thanks, John 970-872-4804 or bearcreekchairs@tds.net

I just read through all this thread and saw this and I connected the dots of what a cool group of people I have found. HUGE THANKS to John, Andy, and all the KCW crew for helping me with my cheap skate race car project! I have found both new friends and a new passion.

Update on the Hotchkiss bug I got from Alykat:

I managed to get my first paint job done in spring time weather. Far from perfect but I could have done worse. Not sure about my color coordination but I used a bunch of mixed up old free paint from a body shop friend. Working on putting in some IRS trailing arm mounts now before I put the body on. Cheers from the motorbike shop in Fruita, Keg-orator is full šŸ™‚

This one needs a lot of love. Engine is locked up, frame has an interesting farm boy buzz box fix near the drive chain, but if you want a project you should come take a look at it. 810 E Grand ave in Fruita. The weekend weather looks to be a bit suspect so I will probably be around shop this weekend. my cell is 970 819 21o6IMG_4077IMG_4074

Rad. -I am still smiling! Lets do it again! I might even move some of the finger/head smashing car and trailer bumpers a little more out of the way to minimize the blood shed šŸ™‚ But it does build character (like we need any). It is my race training program for 2020 šŸ˜‰

2Stroke Stuffing makes some entertaining and educational videos.

Last June at the Steamboat vintage motocross races I pitted next to a nice guy and exchanged emails. He turned out to be a retired engineer for Snap On tools and wanted to get 2Stroke Stuffing (from Norway) to build a 50cc land speed racer to bring over to Bonneville and come August it all came together. Naturally I was to be the pilot probably because of my willingness to hunch my dumb ass carcass over anything I can catch a thrill on. (I was politely told that my lanky thin 200lb frame was exactly what was needed and I cant argue with an engineer). Any hoo after the bike was built and shipped across the fucking ocean, the event was rained out so we hung out all week at my shop and took the bike out to to the Utah/Colorado state line section of old HWY 6 and did test runs blowing up several pistons, cranks, and other parts. It is like laying belly down on a 16.000 rpm screeming skateboard.Ā  It was a lot of fun and come this year I think the bike should be in form to break some 50cc records.

Great googly moogly that was FUN!!!!Ā  I’m so stoked the KCW crew came out. Thanks! What a blast. I am seriously impressed with everybody’s mini bike ability on loose gravel. Especially the tuck and roll skils. Dang does my tail bone hurt today!!! We’ll have to do this again.

Hell yeah Franz, that thing has mega potential! Let me know when we go for beer run.springI re-purposed my step dad’s ol 50’s or 60’s 26″er Schwinn. Might just be my favorite ride.
