I bought new fairings for my CBR600RR, they are fantastic bikes, and a little easier on knees and wrists than Gixxers.  Get a GSXR 1000 JJ 😍

GSXR is kind of like the monkey and a foot ball deal. Not sure how it would effect John, but I did a short ride on a friends bike. Quick as hell and fun, but was hard on my lightly damaged back.

Kinda scared to buy a 1000…. 😎   I think Travis put it like this.. “If I owned one of those, I would be in a bag or handcuffs within 30 minutes”

But yeah… Thats what I ultimately would love to ride…. 😎

All work and no play makes JJ a dull boy🤣

It’s true on public roads I couldn’t stay alive or out of jail long on one but that is because I like to wring the living piss out of anything and I often forget I’m not on a closed course. But I reckon most people posses a common sense I lack.  I would get an EBR1190. They have so much grunt! I think Buell bikes will be sought after some day. Here is a 1190 that Ronin (Magpull) built that I raced Pikes Peak on in 2015:

Despite the crazy looking front end it was the best handling bike I have ever flogged.

You can do it John. I love my 1000RR. Lots of go when you need it and tons of fun. I have just over 40k miles on mine so far and still runs like a raped ape.

I read an article I think you wrote about racing Pikes Peak…  Great read..  There was something mentioned in there about you saying a little too much during an interview or something??   😎  😎 😎

Yeah, the year I raced that Ronin my close friend Hot Carl died near the top in practice so I was a bit emotional after the finish of the race and I told a news paper reporter that the race committee operated like a toy watch. 🙂 They didn’t like that so they banned me from competing in 2016. So I built a Ducati for an Isle of Man racer friend from England and wrenched for him then I begged my way back in 2017 and raced a Spanish moto gp firm’s Buell XBR powered death trap. Thing was mental!

I think an RC51 would be super badass. I don’t know how getting parts would be for an 1190 if you ever needed any. And a Honda would never even need parts anyway. I had a friend with a super sick Nicky Hayden replica RC51 who wanted to sell it to me for way cheap a few years ago…. If only….

I have a friend that has a garage queen RC51 that is loaded with one off race parts. Such a neat bike but unfortunately never sees any use. I guess parts aren’t exactly easy to get for those either?

The KTM 1190r is an awesome bike but for the money a Honda Africa twin is the way to go. Reliability and little to no maintenance compared to the KTM…don’t get me wrong I’m a total KTM fanboy here is my KTM 300 XC-w 2 stroke…an absolutely amazing bike on single track and desert. I’ve ridden Dirt bikes since I was a little kid and can honestly say this is the best I’ve ridden/owned.
