last night at Spencer Hot Springs. Grabbed some awesome breakfast burritos in Eureka and hitting the roadSST! Holy shit! I’m so glad I went! I have never spent that many consecutive days in a split bus. I loved it! Got to do it with a childhood best friend, Seth and his pup Lucy(who I’m sure a lot of you met when I watched her last year) and JJ! He’s one of the best people to road trip with! also, glad I got to finally meet Glenn! I’m glad he came on the trip, he took lots of amazing photos and videos! Can’t wait to see what he has on his camera. It was hard for me to take pics during the SST days. You kindof forget to when you’re hauling ass and having a good time.
It scared the shit out of me when JJ finally rolled up to Spencer and there was an ambulance behind JJ. I had no clue what was going on… haha glad it was just Glenn!
I will definitely be back to Spencer…

Kettenpom Store. Only gas for miles. We camped near here. Very beautiful 
this is what happens when you try to pass JJ and get too close… he roosts your ass… thought I was going to lose a windshield. Luckily just a headlight lense.
Where we stayed in Mt Shasta. You can see JJ’s oil leak. This was the morning I found out I broke a valve spring… we came into camp at 1:30am and I thought my valves sounded loose. So I decided I’d do a valve adjustment in the morning. That’s when I found my 2nd cylinder exhaust valve has broken… time for a tow to Craig Letchers.
luckily even with a busted motor I was still able to hop in with JJ and have lots of fun getting stuck! He got this buried probably 6 times! So fun

Wolfgang International let me borrow their vw spring compressor tool. I was able to replace the spring without pulling the motor. Was a super quick and easy job once I got the tool! 
we stayed our last night at summer lake hot springs in southern Oregon. Super nice and we were the only ones there. 20 bucks to camp sucked… but the water felt super nice with it being 10 degrees outside…. 
took a long time for my bus to start that last morning…. I was worried I was going to blow my oil filter. So I put my propane heater underneath my motor for 20 min and it started a lot easier! Had to keep foot on the clutch until it warmed up or else it would die! Fun figuring all that out. 
The last 200 miles of my trip I had to go 30 mph… the highway was all black ice. Some of the worst conditions I’ve ever seen. soooo much longer than it should’ve taken… my back still hurts from the drive. I was so gripped! Glad we made it safe.
I ended up doing just over 3000 miles. I think 13 nights in the bus. So fun! Glad I went. Definitely will go again next year! I was already talking to Loren about a route for next year. Needs to be more technical. Everyone gets through no matter what! Even if we have to dig and push. Team work! Everyone should come on this trip! I love my split bus.
