Made it to Craig’s to do some repairs. Turns out the sump wasn’t cracked like we suspected but had worn down on the engine tin. Nothing JB weld won’t solve

What a trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Gets better every year!!!!!!!   We sunk my bus in that river crossing!!!   By the time we got it out, my engine was up to the brim with water!!  Had to do a roadside oil change! And I lost my hat

My sway bar clamps broke…  and I was dragging sway bar… That POS $200 Distributor broke in the first water crossing…    Hey Wayne…  them parts you talked me into are NOT Shasta approved!!!!!

My redux box bolts keep coming loose cause the kid that put them In forgot  lock tight.  Also my mid mount lost its hardware on one side… I feel like my front wheel bearings might have gotten water in them also sitting in the water for 2 hours….

repairs today… back to Reno to get glens canpulance

sorry to hear about your troubles on this adventure, but hey, I’ve enjoyed following along thru all the awesome photos. Not sure if the distributor is for marine applications 🤪 but if anyone is gonna find the weak link in anything it’s gonna be JJ on SST. 😎 keep it real man and be safe, hope to catch up soon.

Looks like a great adventure JJ.  I bet Cole had a blast. Guess he fixed his broken valve spring? How about you Glen, think you wa nt to play again?  I sure missed going.  We should really try to make this year’s trip to Moab a non highway event.

We went to Creig Letchers place in weaverville and fixed our shit up!!  I fixed my leaking ass sump, we borrowed a valve spring tool from Wolfgang and changed Coles valve spring..  Then drove the tool back down to Wolfgang… and then parted ways… We started towards Mitch’s place and Cole and Seth headed North to oregon…

 

as usual… a rack broke on Shasta.. Coles!!!  So it,s on top of my rack coming back to KCW for some welding.. it broke 4 of the six legs …

Both of the busses are running perfect!  I am about to go see Jim Cusato and then head to Spencer hot springs again…
