Thats a good idea Franz, I think I even have a set laying around.

It was but I took it off. I think I was fighting air leaks with all the added connections but I might put it back on with some new lines and play with it some more.

Yeah, I thought it handled great. Of course I have nothing to compare it to other than a motorbike. I am still using the hand brake to help set it up for corners as the foot brake over powers the front traction limit. I probably should have put disc brakes on the rear instead of the front. I tried a cheap proportioning valve but it was sensitive often causing very vague pedal feel. I plugged one of the front master cylinder lines and ran a splitter off of the other front line to both wheels and that seems to work ok now. I probably need to invest in a double master cylinder so I can adjust bias front to rear or maybe find some front tires that bite better. Anyone have other cheap fix ideas?

First race went well. I managed to set a new Rally 2WD class course record on Saturday. Sunday race day had me just over a second off pace of a BMW M3 though but to my defense the driver had a European accent.  After winning every Colorado Hill Climb Association race in the motorcycle class for the past five years I had to take a bride’s maid, beat by .04 of a second, but all smiles. It felt so great to get back out racing and the new to me four wheel thing definitely has my attention. The bug really impressed a lot of experienced car racers. I almost didn’t have the heart to tell them that other than the subi 2.5 liter, Empi front disc brakes, and sway bars it is totally stock 🙂

Thanks to all on here when helped me put this ol car back together.

That thing will look just as cool getting towed down the highway behind the bus as it will on the sand doing huge fat wheelies!

I put one of these in my subi 2.5 powered bug a year ago and it has been fantastic. Thanks Andy!

Mighty fine on the 50 tire! I don’t mind changing mororbike tires anytime! I actually like doing em.

I am loading up the van and heading out here in about an hour for the weekend to Vermilion Canyon up northwest CO for some sandy single track shredding and training for a RMEC enduro up there in a few weeks -YES RACING AGAIN! I plan on doing another diatbike ride around here next weekend but totally will make some time for a street ride. Even an after dinner monument cruise sounds sweet! My chopper is not that comfy after an hour in the saddle. You can try expanding insulation foam in the handlebars or a lighter rate throttle return spring to help with tingle hand.

That is a purdy darn sweet CT70 Wayner!

    Braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwp!

Oh wow, that is a totally tits looking KTM! I love the look of a built expansion chamber. I can tell you take pride in keeping your ride primo. Just to be clear though I was talking about an EBR 1190 not a ktm 1190 though I reckon that platform has some potential (maybe in American Flattrack next year?) but I too am a big fan of the Hondas. I love how the Africa Twin’s nomenclature is CRF1000 being that I have owned I think 8 CRF450 bikes. Being a mechanic I often see the worst side of bikes and not the good side but KTM two strokes are at the head of the two stroke pack.

Yeah, the year I raced that Ronin my close friend Hot Carl died near the top in practice so I was a bit emotional after the finish of the race and I told a news paper reporter that the race committee operated like a toy watch. 🙂 They didn’t like that so they banned me from competing in 2016. So I built a Ducati for an Isle of Man racer friend from England and wrenched for him then I begged my way back in 2017 and raced a Spanish moto gp firm’s Buell XBR powered death trap. Thing was mental!

I think an RC51 would be super badass. I don’t know how getting parts would be for an 1190 if you ever needed any. And a Honda would never even need parts anyway. I had a friend with a super sick Nicky Hayden replica RC51 who wanted to sell it to me for way cheap a few years ago…. If only….
