Looks like some engine build fun in the next couple days.

What are the specs on these engines?

Any advantage or disadvantage to either of these engines? I would hate to buy it and not be able to use the engine. (Sorry John. I couldn’t find the private message button to keep this off the forum)

Other the admiting you go both ways it will do fine.

Jeremy is most likely a 2.5 single over head. That’s what’s in my square. It’s a great motor, if your going in a type 1 based engine bay, it will require cutting. A 2.2 will fit in the type 1 style engine bay without cutting shit up. Thats a good price too!

Thanks guys. Thinking of putting it in a single cab.

    Andy,

Are most of your transplant engines EJ22’s? One of the students at school wrote off his 1999 Forrester. It ran and drove fine apparently with 140k on the odometer. I don’t have access to the car but from doing a bit of research it looks to be either a EJ25D (DOHC) or a EJ251 (SOHC). I can get the whole car for a song. $375. Any advantage or disadvantage to either of these engines? I would hate to buy it and not be able to use the engine. (Sorry John. Your car looks awesome. Great to see you out driving it and enjoying the Kiwi summer.

Quick question. With the new website do you still have to post pics from a Photobucket style host or can they be downloaded straight from my devise (laptop/phone)?
