Apparently, this bus is from Regina, Saskatchewan.   Ball grocery store from 1955-1970,   I have the Regina Library historian trying to do some research on the grocery store to see if I can collect some more history.

 

I am also trying to get a hold of somebody on samba with the avatar name of “VWChance”.   He is the one who bought the bus from the grandson of the original grocery store owner.    If anyone has any knowledge of how to get a hold of this guy, I sure would appreciate it.   He hasn’t been on samba since 2018.   I sent him a PM with no response.   He would be my key.   Any help would be appreciated.

Yep.   That was the semaphore on.   They actually work which was a surprise.  This is a 12v now so they could risk being over-volted if I left them on…..I need to remember that when I get it home.  I could see forgetting that.

Those pictures are great franz.   Cool bus for sure.

Busy days.   Back end is wrapped up mostly    New brakes, tranny, tranny mount, brake lines, throw out, spring plates, shocks, starter, ground, gas tank and pet cock etc……    Franz has the beam getting pulled together and mentoring me.   Dario providing mechanical support and leadership too.    2 more big days ahead of us.    I like KCW patience   Franz: “tom, install the gas tank”   Me:  “where is it, how do u do that, where are the tools?, I don’t understand, is this ok?”      I’m a pain in the ass     I appreciate them letting me visit
