I will find another decklid.  I sent Along 2 hoods.   The red one is the OG hood.  The blue one is a feeebie I threw in for your parts pile.  It’s the wrong year for the vert.

Is anyone out there in the Tacoma area?  There is a nice vert deck kid for sale there but the guy only wants to sell locally. Fukn $1800.  Dang.

We gotta figure out a RHD speedo tube too.

Gonna get started early on this rig today! ? I was thinking about colors again yesterday…. With the Standard 3 spoke wheel and all… I guess Dove Blue would work. But I think I will base clear this one.. It will make it much shiney ier and a little more deluxe.. ofcourse. I gotta cut and buff it too… ? ? ? Those wheels are pretty commercial looking too.. I wonder if we could add some paint detail in the circles or something. L31 in the holes? I think I wanna deliver this one to wisconsin… and take some cabin time afterwards.. ? ?

i like the sound of all of this.   We got time to think about the holes.    …..black holes easy to clean.  Blue……may be a bit of up keep……I’m lazy.

    Laser etch sample…

id choose the kcw and beetle.  Rather than the roman letters

actually I would water jet the kcw beetle logo between the holes where the beam cross members are instead of just removing the material between the beam cross members.

We could use a little help designing shocktowers for this ride. Peet had a couple Ideas. I’m not sure they were good.

im sure you boys will think of something.   Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Pan is ready for some sanding and body work where we cut it open… Shiney black? How about Wolfsburg sealer Grey? Black Parts?

Wendy killed the two-color brown idea.   We better stick with shiny black pan/black pan parts.  This will go with any color choice we eventually make.

Color is hard………All the color choices that are “played-out” aren’t played out at all in the Midwest.    Shit, I don’t think I have ever seen a pre-67  vert ever on the roads at home.

I could get behind a stock 2-color bus theme.  I think we gotta keep the outside shIny tho.

    fuck black…

bawahahaha!!!  Just yanking you.  But seriously, I’m still loving a little different twist and going graphite metallic (mid 50’s Pre-A).   I know people hate metallic…..but it’s not really metallic looking.  Deeper Red interior.    This was my original thought that already received Corporate blessings.   I am really not excited about keeping this Inca Red.  That color is not easy on the eyes….

? As much as I LOVE L31… I’m just not sure it’s enough color for this ride…. Too commercial for such a deluxe ride… ? But it did does work well on Parkers bus.. ?

Ok…….murder black will work.   Deep red interior

    Let me remember……….

    Body:

L31.   Black stayfast top.    Black mechanicals, Black space savers.    Old Speed Wilwood 4 disc set-up with dropped spindles,   euro bumpers, stainless beam, shiny black pan, lowered but not slammed, fluted headlights, original plan was for a Bluetooth stereo but Im gonna not do that.

Engine:    Franz will have all of this thought out.   Tractor engine, stale air heat,  straight cuts, A-1, vintage dels,  Franz is just going to do his thing here.    3.88 Rancho prostreet, upgrade tank with overflow.

Interior:  stock seat stitching, black leather (hopefully),  3 spoke split wheel, would love to find a nice restored Hurst shifter, blend some satin black with gloss black perhaps.   May need some accents somewhere………

I may have missed some things……..
