    Thanks guys.

Hey Pete, where did you get those air filter spacers for the dellorto carbs? I totally forgot about that issue with the fuel fitting interference.

Vintage Speed makes them, sold as Dellorto spacers in their filter line.  I think they do sell them separately from the filters.

Or maybe Andy could use a gasket as a template and cut some out of 1/8” aluminum on his CNC?  Probably won’t save money but might get them quicker.

Thanks, I can probably find some old linkage mounting plates around here to cut up.

    Did your speedwell breather arrive?

Thinking last night that the idle mixture adjustment screws are going to be almost impossible to access with these OEM recessed style. Looks like CB performance has the cool hex head ones. Tom you should probably order 4 of these 7285  before the engine goes into the car:

And get 4 of these velocity stacks 7223 while you’re at it. Thanks.

Not yet on the breather; probably Monday/Tues.  I did install an 010 in place of the 019…seems to be a much better advance curve for the 36’er.

Yeah, mounting plates would work, or stack/glue some fiber gaskets.  It’s not like you need a whole bunch of space.  If you order from VS they typically mail quickly, just might take a week+ from Taiwan.

^Those idle mix screws are great.  Super easy to dial in with a 8mm ratcheting wrench.

Got the bearings for the throttle shaft, assembled carbs. and ran the engine today.

I also made a bad choice and wasted 4 hours drilling and welding 1″ tube through the empi sump. Just two tubes. For style points.DSCF1066

Good to go. No leaks + tuned.DSCF1063
