Knocked up a new lower center window section. 

Fit and burned in. 

Fabed a fit a section for the driver side of the dash/window surround. Ready to burn it in.

Finished bottom side pedestal welding this morning.  Blasted, rust repaired, and fit the heater tube section. 

Slid the front floor in.  Ready to start melting it together.

Riley just finished scrapping the last bits of tar board off the donor section. 

Dissecting all the bits off is his next mission.

Knocked the seat pedestal off the list this afternoon. 

Heater cable mech dissected from the OG pedestal and welded to the tubes.

Welded all around.

Franz suggested using a section of the OG pedestal for a glove box door. 

The opening will get trimmed with rubber edging.

Used a earlier beetle glove box latch. Need to sandblast the door before it gets welded in.

Fit the new main heat tube and the other bits to start the day. 

Gas tank mounts fit and burned in. Finished all the welding for the cargo floor and gas tank area.

Jumped back into this one today.  Chopped 2” off the lower rear section of the pedestal then bent a new lip. 

DANG!! Not quite.

Had to chopped a couple inches off the front edge of the rear section to narrow the pedestal a bit more. BOOM!!!

Slid the drivers side cargo floor section in  followed by the pass side. Just a few more welds to finish up tomorrow and the cargo floor is done!

Riley chopped out the donor section this morning. 

He spent the rest of the day scrapping very well aged horse hair tar board. 

This was a super crappy job to have to do. Thanks for knocking it out bud!!!!
