mission accomplished!!! And he got it done before it was toooo hot out! Nice work RileyHe spent the rest of the day scrapping very well aged horse hair tar board.
When I hear people talking about the hair used by vw in the interior I always hear “whore’s hair;” certainly a curious choice of material and one which I wouldn’t put past 1950’s Germans.
😎
Riley just finished scrapping the last bits of tar board off the donor section.
Dissecting all the bits off is his next mission.
We will build it if it comes.
Well done Riley!
It’s looking great! Call me when you need help installing the drivetrain.

clean. Stoked for that thing to get welded in.

The plan is to drive this thing home from Colorado at ~45 mph. It’ll take me 3 days lol!
Riley is dissecting still… Prep always takes twice the time it takes to install the peice…. 😎

and after it’ all in… still have the spare area to fix, and the gas heater hack…. 8-( 8-( takes twice the time to use original stuff, but sometimes it must be done! 😎
It’s all worth it in the end. Such a cool bus with cool history
That is awesome. Thank you. I would love to have it.
Yes, I started a Christmas tree farm from scratch 3 years ago with no clue what I am doing. I have never grown anything but weeds in my lawn so it’s a ridiculous idea. I have roughly 600 trees and I am adding 200-300 a year. I also started growing cherries and apples too. It’s slow but growing
@Vwfool right on; nice looking cherries! I started a cactus and succulent nursery about 3 years ago too. Built a huge greenhouse here in San Diego County. Fun times.
Ok I am sending KCW a rear hatch for my bus so I will throw it in the same box and you can grab it next time you’re passing through CO.
