Fit, trimmed and welded the lower fresh air tube sections first thing today. 

Oil filter mount, starter, fuel pump and its wiring all in place.

Oil cooler mounting and lines up next. 

Another motor pic because it’s sooo pretty! 

We will build it if it comes.

It is beautiful!!!!   We had your meats mounted up today too..    BFG All terrains..  215/75/15’s…  Going to look awesome.. 😎  Pats got the hard part done..  Now when the time presents itself, Franz will finish it up for us.. Tickle every little item like it’s his own!!!  Probably better.. 😎 😎 😎

Plumbed the oil system today. I went to the Parker store to get all of the fittings and braided stainless/teflon hoses. I like this Empi oil cooler because its a continuous S bend type and compact. The mounting location behind the torsion beam has good airflow and does not need to have electric fan = more simple.  The 12 feet of stainless hard lines will also dissipate some heat. Its protected, and not likely to get splashed. Same goes for the oil filter mounted inboard of the frame at the rear.

We also decided to go with an electric fuel pump to help prevent vapor lock issues. I feel like the aluminum cases run a little hotter, and having the fuel pump directly bolted to the case is not the best idea.

them hardlines and shit.. awesomeness… 😎 😎 😎  Not having a fan is one less thing to think about!! 😎  one less thing to wire too….

I also see the logic in the electric fuel pump, especially on the aluminum block!!  The oil filter location if also better for off roading!!

Next week should be a great week for this old bus… 😎 😎 😎

Cory flies in next Monday to pick it up!!!  I wonder where he will drive it first???  I am betting on Silverton and maybe even over to Purg to see Bubba!! 😎
