I run those covers too.    You’ve gotten lucky mike!  It’s them big 30mm pumps and big motors with dual carbs..

On Friday we pulled Cory’s Bug Engine! Spoted problem number one right away…

Then we put it on the run stand so JJ could listen to it and spot the oil leak…

Then Robert helped me start dissassembling the engine so we can get down to the problem! Roberts been excited to help when he can to learn more about VWs 😁 he thinks these engines are super cute compared to his 4400 in his Charger 😅

Never make somebody a priority who makes you an option.

Motor is Wore out!   Has a GOB of end play!!!  It was also leaking out of the number 3 deep stud.   I hope the case isn’t cracked ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

It’s going over to painters!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻  No 4 of july with this one…. Sorry☹️
