that thing looks dry
is there any interior ?
This bus is crazy dry. No interior. Not so dry on the bottom side.
Pulled motor and trans. They have not been out in a loooooong time. Looks like the fuel petcock has been leaking for years.
Trans and horns were caked.
Horns were completely jammed up with rocks and dirt.
Much better.
Trans is up next.
We will build it if it comes.
Yup! Cory wants a mechanical rebuild! He wants his bus to have the same off-road stance as my bus.. and a trans and engine so he can confidently road trip in it!!!
A KCW road warrior!!
Awesome another lifted bus!!
man, that’s some serious gunk !!
KIM
Test Pilot @ Submarine AirwaysThat sucked! But we got it. 2” deep crud in some places.
Solid 15lbs of crud scraped off.
And power washed with the Hotsy. Ready for tear down this morning.
We will build it if it comes.
Surmise Cory must go with an aluminum case as well… 😎 He was talking 1835… however that simply sounds excessively incredibly little to me. 😎 I love my large force beast engine!!! The OG TOTER HOME!!! 😎
Thanks

Haha, this is my favorite spam-bot ever! I hope it posts more. I could use its advice.
Trans torn down.
Parts cleaned & sorted.
Pulled the gas heater. Draining the fuel tank to pull it for fresh petcock valve amd cleaning.
Batt tray needs some attention.
So will the holes left from removing the gas heater.
Sorted through what parts you have. Got a good list going of what we need.
We will build it if it comes.
oh man. this one is getting the works! gonna be a badass rig Cory !
Pats been killing this one!
Proud and Stubborn 👍🏻
Started on the new wiring harness yesterday.
Switches and fuse block done.
Pass rear taillight needed a KWIK fix.
Let there be light.
Cleaning up the shiny bits as we go.
Pulled the gas tank. Worried it would be caked and fuel soaked underneath from the leaky petcock. Surprised it wasn’t!
Changing all the bulbs to 12v. Headlight bucket rebuild for new seals.
We will build it if it comes.
Wow! What amazing progress, I’m so excited for this. You guys are killing it. I just got back on the grid after 5 days in Moab. Hiked into a really cool petroglyph area called the solstice snake. At 11:11 am on the solstice a perfect arrowhead shape appears on the head of the snake. Pretty cool spot.
In Silverton now, working on securing a camping spot for the 4th. Its raining and the firework show in official on. Now I just need to head back to Idaho, put the motor back in my 63 bug to get ready for Colorado. Really looking forward to connecting with everyone.
hell yes!
