Cory…. Were gonna take that beam out and refurbish end to end… π π π
We should get painters on an all new 1914cc… carbs, exhaust and gathering tin, alternator etc… you need everything.
Going to be awesome to have all dialed in!!! Such a great feeling to travel and camp in a bus!! Nothing like it… π

Headlights arrived this morning. All back together and back in.Β
Removed the gas heater duct work form the engine bay. Fabed a patch panel. Screwed, and glued with seam sealer front & back.Β
Pulled front door windows for rebuild. Disassembled and started cleaning off the remainder of the white paint.
600 grit wet sand and a buff has them looking great!Β
Nice little rainstorm rolled through this afternoon.
We will build it if it comes.
hell yea Cory, good move getting your bus in the right hands!
gonna be tuff. I hope to get a look at it in the next few weeks
Heh! Nobody mentioned that the nose lost all that white and is Dove Blue!!!ππππππππππππ

What kind of gear ratio do you want on this rig? We could keep the stock .82 fourth and go up to a 4.12 or a 3.88 ring and pinion if you plan to drive interstate much?
I’d probably be on interstates a fair amount if I plan on linking up with you guys on gatherings. Β What would you recommend?
Depends on your engine choice. 3.88 x .82 or a 3.44 x .89 is what we would typically run with a 2276cc stroker engine.
I think pushing those gears with a 1914cc or less is going to be a recipe for overheating.
Probably should go with 4.12 x .82 or 3.88 x .89 if you want the 3/4 shift rpm to less of a jump.
It takes about 6 weeks to get an exhaust system. What is your preference? A1 sidewinder is the best for power and sound, but the stainless Vintage speed are a little more quiet and easier to adjust valves on. They are about the same price either way.

Hi Franz,
Lets go with the Sidewinder please, 6 weeks seems pretty reasonable these days. Β Really excited on all the progress!
Thanks!
Coryβs bus has been stuck on the lift since we pulled the trans. All the dollies are currently occupied, so fab time.Β
Just slips into the trans cradle. No bolts required.Β
And, it works great!!!
We will build it if it comes.
