All the bits hung and epoxy sealed. 

The 1/2” Jopex heater boxes now come with the flanges welded on for big exhausts.

Fresh A1 sidewinder…🤤🤤🤤 Bolts right on. No mods or welding required!!!

There are lots of little things that go into building this set up to make it last as long as it can…   Keeping the heads cool is the numero uno goal!!!

Finished engine mantling today. Franz pulled a German 009 out of the KCW stock. All freshened up with new bits. 

Engine break in went well. Dropped the break in oil, checked over all the nuts, bolts, tin screws, etc. 

Set the valves after she cooled down. 

One last mod to make before install tomorrow. Going to use early beetle metal heat tubes for the lower sections to keep them from burning through.

Franz worked his magic during break in.
