Thanks for ordering the parcel tray, Tom!

We’ve been kicking ass on this project!!!

After I disassembled a couple donor seats for parts, I gathered and started cleaning up the bumper trim yesterday, stripped the paint and pried out the rubber insert + found some new rubber  👍🏻

made sure we have each side of that special curved front bumper trim 👍🏻

we’ll get them all shiny for ya!!

IMG_4142IMG_1471IMG_1470IMG_1469We are heading East this weekend! Delivering the transaxle. I think it looks pretty good with all the brake bits installed.

Im excited to see this project come together!

After speaking to Tom on the phone last week I know he is excited to get his hands on the final engine install with us before the first drive to dinner with the team. Then we can either drive or trailer it back to UT (depending on Tom’s timeline) to finalize our part of the project. The mechanical final test and tune. I will put a couple hundred miles on it and test, tune and adjust the whole time before getting it back to Seattle.

Sounds like the timeline will match up well with getting all the upholstery and small bits done before we come to do the final mechanical install with Tom.

Ouch John!!! I know first hand how bad it sucks when it comes to springs. I only had to do one seat on my rig and that was plenty. 😣

Keep pushing through brotha , it will all be over with. Funny thing is after paint and some drive train components most people would think they’re close. But there’s still about 80 percent left to do after those steps. 💪🏽💪🏽
It’s been a blast to see this thing come together and it looks even better in person . can’t wait to see it on the pavement. Have a great day John .

Well the parcel tray arrived! But it’s a thin lipped parcel tray… doesn’t have the thick lip like a late ‘62.. you can see how it doesn’t fit in the notch in the speedo pod DB7A549E-705F-40E9-9C1A-E4108688CB56851B549C-14B2-45C6-AB36-442643DDA8D9

Aw Dang!  No bueno on the parcel tray!

Cole, Franz -send me a link for the correct one?

Everything else is looking SUPER!!  JJ, I can’t even imagine what those seat springs are about.  If YOU complainin’, they must be some very nasty buggers that are fighting you!  Thank you! You always put it right.

CIP1 doesn’t have a later splitty parcel tray from what I can find.  Maybe it’s back to using the one mine came with?  JJ, would you take a look and see if you can work with it?

Anyone have a parcel tray for this bus?  The fat lipped variety I guess you’d say.
