Pats kicking ass on his rig… steady progress!!!Pat KModeratorMarch 10, 2021 at 11:25 amPost count: 1876
After getting the transmission in the correct way, THANKS DAVE!!!!, i realized I had no way to get my shift rod in with the pan head conversion.
Trimmed the front opening until we were able slide the rod through the guide. Riley fabed a new cover plate.
We slid the body onto the pan and started trimming around tubes.
We will build it if it comes.Dave-coParticipantMarch 10, 2021 at 4:51 pmPost count: 64
For several decades the frame head on your car now would have been a instant Dq as it was a very very large sticking part in the rules. My personal feeling its not the way it should be or be done for 51600 but in reality most wont give it a 2nd look these days. You will need to shorten the stock shift rod if that is what you are going to use Pat, I recomend a pro am shifter as they are very easy to adjust.ColeBModeratorMarch 10, 2021 at 10:19 pmPost count: 2156

Feel great about this weekends progress!!
Went from no cage to main cage bent, fit, and fully welded.
Lifted the body up to gain access for top side welds.
One more roof bar to bend/fit, and gussets then up with the body and last time to weld those.
We will build it if it comes.FranzModeratorMarch 22, 2021 at 9:21 amPost count: 4080
