yes, please post about the adventure for us poor souls who wish we could go.
Been quite a while. Haven’t got much of anything done over the last month between being sick, working alot and other family distractions. I had a couple hours on my hands yesterday and figured I would try that football trick on the corner. Got everything up in there and it started working. So I stopped and repositioned the ball to gradually do this. So the second try I am looking at the outside of the bus while my arm is extended in the engine compartment. I got into a trance watching the metal move much like a fat kid staring at a chocolate cake. I guess I put a bit too much air pressure to it, probably 100psi or better. It exploded and launched my hand into the side of the trans bell housing cutting it pretty good. So the back of my hand hurts like hell, my right ear is ringing and my football is destroyed. I called it a day and went back in the house.

in reply to: Cleaning heat risers #7120When I worked at a VW machine shop the way we did it was drill a hole in the bend just above the exhaust flange mount and another hole on the backside of the heat riser tube where it joins the intake manifold. If it was solid plugged I would find the longest drill bit I could and use that to break up the really heavy build up. Then go thru it with a clutch cable and lastly blow it out with the air nozzle. Then wrld up the 4 holes and you’re done. I did 100’s of them.
