in reply to: Rustyβs 64 Sportsmobile #67038Itβs eerie, keep hearing the voice of Franz in the back of my head Β saying β Why do you always take on skill level 8 projects when you are still only a skill level 5 rocket builder?!?!?!?!? πππππππππ he prolly donβt know shit!!!!πππππππ³π³π³
in reply to: Rustyβs 64 Sportsmobile #67034Got knocked Β down with a sinus infection this weekend but still got a bit of progress!! Started to trim up the front floor for the replacement, my compressor switch is acting funny but I kept it running long enough to cut most of it out. Gonna pull out the porta power today and start to wrap my head around the nose!!! ππππ Stoked you found Β my tranny!!! Whenever possible, check out those redux boxes and decide if I need bearings etcβ¦.. donβt wanna throw away $$$$ but no sense in cutting corners using worn parts on something you want done right!!!πππππππππππππππππ
in reply to: Rustyβs 64 Sportsmobile #66939Donβt let me loose focus on this!! Yup!!! I have a tranny!! Itβs at the Shop. Painters rebuilt center all wrapped up in shrink wrap a with the big nut reduction boxes sitting in a tub that George grabbed and ran for a while from the back corner parts bus.Β As long as Jesse didnβt steal my nice stub axles, Iβve got everything and good to go on a 100% new rear tranny rebuild!! Order up all the bearings, seals, tranny mount stuff and anything else you can think of that we could need. Iβm gonna spend a few days in the back of my Bus, tons of scraping and cleaning, remove gas heater, bumper brackets, gas tank, and scrub the fuk outta Everything!!!! Wanna install it once and for a looonng time!πππππππππ
in reply to: Rustyβs 64 Sportsmobile #66745So, for me this is a BIG step in slowly plugging along on a back burner build!!!! Jones roped up my OG rear glass and we installed it, repop fronts as well!!! (bigger pain in the ass) As far as Iβm concerned this Rig just got outta shell status and back into body being built!!!No raccoon can move into my Rig!!πππ I close the doors and hatches on my car and I am actually closing it up!!!!ππ
