in reply to: Tom’s Sea Blue Cal look Sunroof 66 #67486I love following beetle builds here. They go fast and are fun to watch, especially builds with some flavor, CalLook flavor!
in reply to: 67 Wrong Side Driver #65487in reply to: 67 Wrong Side Driver #65486I hit up Franz a while back. Inquired if KCW could assist with some metal work on this one as the project was stalled and my time to work on it was limited. KCW was pretty slammed at the time. Iโm glad actually, because it made me buckle down and finish the metal work with a buddy. The car was never wrecked, just rusty. Full package tray from rear glass seal down to pan bolts, both lower A-pillars, right side heater channel and other misc typical rust spots on fenders and doors. Itโs all finally done now and itโs wearing several coats of single stage Centari Zenith Blue. So happy to have finally turned this corner!ย
in reply to: Tom’s 23 Window Deluxe!! #63638It has been some time since we did a Deluxe!!! was the last one Parkers 21?? I donโt recall, is this rig going all stock?
Thatโs been a tough question for me John. My first bus was a lowered 21 window, and the personality of that thing was just so much fun. For this one Iโm thinking stock but with engine and transmission upgrades to make her highway safe. Iโm definitely open to ideas. Chime in everyone!
Couldnโt hurt to lower is some with modern tires to go along with the engine/trans upgrades.

in reply to: Mary’s Yukon Yellow 55 vert #48369Their website doesnโt have products listed. Where are these available from?
in reply to: KCW randomness #48249I’m impressed by this collaboration. I wonder if they’ll stop any better than a factory caliper.ย I’d still rather have the four piston version.
in reply to: Diesel starter conversion blocks! #46316I’ve been using a diesel starter on my Notchback since I built it. It’s one of the best upgrades you can do. I’ll do it do every air-cooled VW I own. They’re also self supporting so no starter bushing to wear out.
in reply to: Parkway projects #45582Whats up with Unks old Oval rag?
Hell of dealโฆ. I dunno if it would sell that cheapโฆ but I know it was over $50K to build itโฆ.
Dammit! I wish I would’ve known that a few months ago. I had a money tree there for a minute! ย Love that car.
in reply to: JJ's projects #45581I’m sure it would take many bends to just reroute the whole header system away from the fan intake.
