I got them pans welded in yesterday…  clutch tube reinforce done and access holes welded up!!   a few pin holes to address around the front 2 10mm body bolts, then blast time again!!!  Seam seal, PAINT!

Shiney Black I assume?  Or maybe a matt black, 60% gloss??  Or maybe Sea Blue??  with shiny black parts?  The options here are endless…  Any col0r, any combination is at your fingertips now… 😎  We could do it saftey orange!!  😎 😎  High visibility hardware!!  😎

Holy COW!  Fell asleep on ya for a few days and WOW!  Looks incredible!  I DO love the WW pan halves, they are GREAT!!!!

That pan is lookin’ SWEET!!!  Thanks for all the attention to the clutch tube….no fun if that wasn’t tagged good…

OK, lemme get caught up with answers to questions;

– No gauges/dash mods.

– Kafer Bar?   Naaaa, I’m more of a cruiser than a racer…

– Let’s do Matt Black 60% gloss on the pan along with the front beam and rear axles and shiny gloss black parts for trailing arms, backing plates, etc.

Was working on ‘Ole Croaker, getting him ready for Bug Jam 2022…..that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it!  Oh…attached are a few pics….fuel pump was leaking….bummer….It’s got the wrong rear apron, (I’ve got the right “H” one to put in), original Azure Blue (rustallic) paint for the most part on the body shell…lol!

Yeah, I think we put the tar board in….

I was thinking maybe black hammerite for the fan shroud… finish is so easy to clean!!

Engine would look good with a Berg stock size Equalizer pulley n nut on there too!

Yeah, I like the braided stainless flex hoses. Should last forever. I’ll get some. I wanted to see what the CB kit arrived with.

I say we ditch the tarboard…At least on the sides. Its easier to  work on the carbs/manifolds/spark plugs without it. Also, for consideration is an upholstered firewall?😋

I didn’t think about the carbs on the tar board sides.. maybe just use it on the back….I remember the upholstered engine bays…we did a lot of weird stuff in the late 70s/early 80s…lol!

Let me know on the tar board… I need to cut off the fold over tabs on the outside and inside of sides… and what about the back?  Do it?  or cut the fingerpokers off?

I like clean painted engine bays, no tar board at all.  You can insulate it just fine from the inside..

Let us know!!!!!  My plan was to spot prime all that stuff today… trunk engine bay etc..  Then… I am just waiting on the go ahead from the clean shop to start painting stuff… Body or pan… Probably pan first..   assemble it..
