Still sanding. Were making great progress.

Doors and decklid front sides ready for poly.
Hood will be about halfway there before I head home tonight.

All the fenders are mounted on stands. Rears are sanded, one is hammer/dolly worked and ready for body work.

We’ll be close to having all the removable’s ready for first prime by end of day tomorrow.

    Back to sanding………

We will build it if it comes.

I can picture it now, Sea Blue with the limited edition BRMs on ‘er……some Nankang 145R15s up front and Yokohama P205/65R15s out back!!!

Weather getting nice down here finally, hot burning hell gone for the winter, nice time to have the sunroof open!

Woohoo, I’m digging the current exploded view way better than the one below, west of KCW a couple of months ago. Awesome work y’all! Be advised… I’ll be back in the KCW neighborhood Halloween week and well, I’m gonna have to absorb in person the KCW magic.

Sure did. Pan, sunroof, and small parts blasted. Getting all the parts ready that will be painted  L360, Sea Blue. DA1AC6C0-5A43-46FD-BA57-662D70A2F094C0EF9F8D-23A9-4D10-9433-0942858FC1FB02DC0B44-8909-458E-9437-1928558D3E4B

According to TheSamba, this is a Jan ‘66 car. L360, Sea Blue was used on beetles from Jan ‘63-July ‘66.

Door back sides didn’t require much. Spot body worked and primed. 43805114-C90C-4853-AB7A-CCB8F5AEDE1E101A5959-5F0D-4F16-A6F5-E3A179200E63

Decklid and hood backsides needed a bit more love.  Laid down poly prime to cover the tool marks.3F2D6D10-27F4-4308-AB3E-3CC9C4D9BDCCF552229A-2977-4C5C-B47E-EC91E6996689

Taillight housing looked awesome. But the license light housing had some pitting. 9A81DDE1-4C91-4CE0-AB9C-4CED975755FCD1887733-7C50-4778-98C3-B5B14B307594
