Just keep sanding, just keep sanding, sanding sanding sanding.
Still sanding. Were making great progress.
Doors and decklid front sides ready for poly.
Hood will be about halfway there before I head home tonight. All the fenders are mounted on stands. Rears are sanded, one is hammer/dolly worked and ready for body work.
We’ll be close to having all the removable’s ready for first prime by end of day tomorrow.
Back to sanding………

Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore!
Woohoo, I’m digging the current exploded view way better than the one below, west of KCW a couple of months ago. Awesome work y’all! Be advised… I’ll be back in the KCW neighborhood Halloween week and well, I’m gonna have to absorb in person the KCW magic.

Sure did. Pan, sunroof, and small parts blasted. Getting all the parts ready that will be painted L360, Sea Blue.
According to TheSamba, this is a Jan ‘66 car. L360, Sea Blue was used on beetles from Jan ‘63-July ‘66.
How ya like that vin? 🙈🙊🙉
Lovin’ on backsides this morning.
We will build it if it comes.
Door back sides didn’t require much. Spot body worked and primed.
Decklid and hood backsides needed a bit more love. Laid down poly prime to cover the tool marks.
Sunroof panel in first prime.
Taillight housing looked awesome. But the license light housing had some pitting.
We will build it if it comes.
A bunch of parts came in today. Pan half’s from Wolfsburg West.
Empi race axles, new torsion arm/ball joints, and rear brake rebuild parts. -
