MikeK is right the Radian and UMX Radian are really good for motor gliders…there are some VERY high performance motor gliders out there but you’re talking THOUSANDS of dollars. for a couple hundred bux the Radian is a winner. I’ve had both and the Radian PRO but the Pro isn’t as docile and as cruiser as the standard Radian. sloping is an awesome part of the RC flying hobby. I would imagine there are some incredible slope sites and probably some great thermal areas in or around Grand Junction. hers a couple shots of the biggest one I’ve ever flown…its a work aircraft…25′ wingspan PRANDTL 3c..you can look up the PRANDTL stuff on YouTube.

I’ve had quite a few people tell me they would help clean up the lot towards a RC track…..😎😎😎😎.  I’m almost scared to start that ball in motion….    🤔🤔🤔🤔.  I think there is more than enough interest to get it going!!!!!

im sure I could hype it up!!  I’m good at that 😎😎😎🤩😎. I have Perfect parkway exposure..  I bet I could get 10-20 people out racing almost immediately!!!!  I bet I could round up some local sponsors too..  dirt, wood, and some elbow grease..  🤩🤩🤩🤩.

If I built a mini CRANDON ..  I bet I could get CRANDON involved, traxxas, the my laps timing system, they use the same ones to count laps in RC..😎.

Those planes are amazing!

 

I think the RC Crandon is a great idea.  Doing this kind of work day in and out is physically and mentally taxing.  Knowing your current back condition, I’m always amazed at how you brutalize yourself with both the racing and transport to and from the events.  I prefer to avoid wheelchairs.

These days, it’s next to impossible to to make it with retail, but I could see a little ‘pro shop’ equipped with consumables for the cars.  Set up a little trailer and sell snacks.  Get a liquor license and sell beer.  Sell memberships, host big events.

I could totally see this coming together.  Seems like all you would need is a Bobcat and a lot of social media presence.

I gotta keep it small..  I’m only willing to give up 1/2 my lot….   But that’s 75×60 worth the dirt….    I bet it’s enough room for a 1/10th Scale mini CRANDON 😎😎😎😎.  I really don’t want a business ✋✋✋✋✋ to run or invest into.   Or be married to every weekend✋✋✋✋. But I’d love a properly set up track in my backyard..  good drivers stand.,  place to run laps whenever I get the itch🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫😎😎😎😎. A reason to build an RC10 again !!!!!

The 1/10th scale off-road worlds are going on right now.  The best drivers in the world are in Arizona.  This event only happens every two years… so it’s kind of a big deal.  The live stream can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/@MODLIVEMEDIA

 

They are wrapping up the 4WD qualifiers now.  Mains are next, then 2WD will start.  The event ends on the 16th.
