We flew it. There was too much mechanical up trim , so I had to fly with full down and no throttle, and it still hung in the air with the head wind. Finally got it to lose altitude by doing a series of turns where it came down out of the wind. Adjusted the elevator push rod and took it out of safe mode, and it flew way better. Wind was still to strong for such a light airplane.

I had a Great Visit with Ben!  First time he’s been here and I wasn’t trying to work..

I have a Radian and a Radian UMX.  I’d suggest one of the UMX’s if you’re starting out.  It’s tiny, but pretty durable for it’s size.  So small that you can fly it anywhere.  I’ve tossed it up in parking lots in urban areas.  I even sloped it a couple of times in light lift.

I never had powered planes, only sailplanes.  When I got back into it I tried the power-gliders and I love the advantages of them.  You get WAY more flight time than traditional bungee launch setups.

I love old school, built up planes, especially the vintage stuff, but I just don’t have time to build.  I’m glad that the foamies are available and so advanced.  It think it helps people get into it or get back into it.
