Paul…. I am checking on that treasure chest door and a set of gates from Gerson… I was being a bit optimistic about repairing yours.. Not that it can’t be done…. but parts vs time… end result… I dunno.. So if they are available, I am ordering them….
Getting going on front doors now.. THEY are repairable… 😉 😀 😀 😀 …. Decklid looks ok so far also… and maybe the apron.. 🙄Paul SextonParticipantDecember 26, 2017 at 6:09 pmPost count: 87

Looks great sitting there in bare metal. As honest as you can get with a build…nothing hidden there. Paul’s got to be stoked. Nice work as usual.John JonesKeymasterDecember 28, 2017 at 3:23 pmPost count: 3182
put a few pins up here… it had it’s share of dings.
If you don’t have some of these baskets…. I suggest you get some!!!! I honestly use these more than the slide hammer. 😉Paul SextonParticipantDecember 29, 2017 at 4:47 amPost count: 87
Interesting little tool. I’d imagine it allows for much more finesse than the old slide hammer. Outstanding work on the truck! Thank you for the updates.volksaddictParticipantDecember 29, 2017 at 6:22 amPost count: 200
💡 ! Need one of those.
I bet my doors won’t fit that well after I’ve “aligned” them 😳 I’m always fighting that last little binding on the top hinge, the one that causes the cracking.John JonesKeymasterDecember 29, 2017 at 10:20 amPost count: 3182
Funny you mention door fits jeff… I would say my first 10 years of business… I was getting lucky with door fits. It took me a long time to really figure them out…. But waaaay tired of fittin em…. 🙄 🙄 🙄 I;m ready for a new carrer… Any suggestions? 🙂 Changing dog legs really affects door fits also…. and a lot of busses need dog legs.. 😀
I got the roof worked and ready to prime, sanded back of cab and bulkhead and a pillars and working the nose now… I laid down a row of pins in my weld and pulled it out slightly, it was slightly low from shrinking.. bueno now!!!! Found a few tiny pin holes to weld and grind and bam!!! … just did my first spread.. 😉 😉 😉 😉 Change carrer’s… I can’t even spell it right…. … 😈 😈 😈
