Truck is pretty nice.. There has been some work done on the inner rockers that I will have to redo.. but overall.. nice. creme puff you might say compared to the big ol pile I have been working on…..

Love a single cab. Should make quick work of this one it sounds like.
We will build it if it comes.Paul SextonParticipantAugust 14, 2017 at 3:58 amPost count: 87
Outstanding!!! I’ve been waiting a couple months for this truck’s turn… then the website… and now here it is!! I’m so excited to see this I can barely sit to type!PeteParticipantAugust 14, 2017 at 6:21 amPost count: 790
I forget the plans for this one – stock resto, SWR? That shell does look like a solid base to start with.John JonesKeymasterAugust 14, 2017 at 6:21 amPost count: 5844
Now we can keep you up to date on our progress….
These two have been playing like crazy…

Single cabs are so nice! This will be fun to watch come back to life! Do your thang JJ!!!Paul SextonParticipantAugust 15, 2017 at 4:05 amPost count: 87
Yep. Stock resto. I’m planning on regifting the truck to my Dad. He started with the intent of two tone, white over that yellow you can see edged on the light buckets. I’m not sure if there’s a legible paint code plate left on the truck. Curious as to the original color.John JonesKeymasterAugust 15, 2017 at 6:38 amPost count: 5844
if I figure out the OG color.. can we paint it that instead of yellow and white? 😎Paul SextonParticipantAugust 15, 2017 at 7:55 amPost count: 87
Depends on what the original is I suppose.ryans65ParticipantAugust 15, 2017 at 8:26 amPost count: 93
hell yeah a fresh scab project to watch!RustabusParticipantAugust 15, 2017 at 4:53 pmPost count: 1698
I vote Dove Blue no matter the OG color!!!!John JonesKeymasterAugust 15, 2017 at 5:46 pmPost count: 5844
it was grey,,,, Like I did dans single.. but I don’t have a gallery to show you.. sorry..PeteParticipantAugust 15, 2017 at 7:52 pmPost count: 790
The internet archive has several years of old KCW pages archived. I don’t know if any would have the complete gallery though…the few I checked had the gallery index and the first couple pages of type II projects (John’s 54 single, Don’s Bike Bus, etc) but lacked the photo content.PeteParticipantAugust 15, 2017 at 8:17 pmPost count: 790
Some of the galleries from this 2015 archive seem to work…was able to view some photos of the dumped pumpkin, etc. Don’t see the album gram Dan’s single…thought it was pre-2015?

I was just supporting the Huge team of KCW Dove Blue Buses John has built. If it was Grey keep it Grey!!John JonesKeymasterAugust 16, 2017 at 6:57 amPost count: 5844
Paul is it safe to assume we are just gonna clean up your tranny and motor down to the long block clean up and reassemble kinda thing??
I wondering on Stance…. The look.. BFG”s? or something more stock??
BD’s seem to be sucking up much time… It will be my baby soon..8-)Paul SextonParticipantAugust 17, 2017 at 3:55 amPost count: 87
Thank you for researching the OG paint. Grey is out. Not especially a fan of the white over yellow either. Maybe a different stock color. Still a little time left to decide.Paul SextonParticipantAugust 17, 2017 at 4:02 amPost count: 87
Spot on with the engine/tranny. Figure I can always swap up later. Stock stance. BFGs? Are those tires, or a reference to my last wife?PeteParticipantAugust 17, 2017 at 5:50 amPost count: 790
Sealing Wax Red is a good color choice. JJ will push for Dove Blue. 🙂 Both were options for your truck year. If you want to give a nod to your dad Postal Yellow was a special order option, and trucks painted that color would have come with black bumpers, rims, emblems, etc. instead of silver white.
BFG’s are BF Goodrich All Terrain tires. They have an aggressive tread pattern and look great on stock height type II’s.John JonesKeymasterAugust 17, 2017 at 7:29 amPost count: 5844
I wouldn’t rule out the grey…. it’s nice… original and clean looking. Dove blue is always a winner… 😎
BFG’s rock.. they are good quality tires that last and work! Mud terrains are my favorite.. like the pamper has, BBOE has etc. Franz has the same style on his camper too, Chads high roof, and both of Kevins SGPG campers too…
I want to start making progress on this again this week!!!!!!! damnit!!!
