I didn't know that. Good to know. I believe that is the first pic that I've seen myself.

'51 Deluxes were basically prototypes, only a handful were built and were mostly used for promotional purpose and sent to dealers to use for display and demo. Basically a unicorn bus today

Sweet!

How'd those Saco brakes go together? I kow some of the older kits took a little finesse to fit. They are a deal considering what you get for $950. Not many other options for a pre 63 disc brake kit anyhow.

They went together like budda! =D> One side the disk has a little egg shape to it and it scrapes a C hair on the brake pad retaining bolt as u rotate. 3 second fix Wink I really like the look of it, I have the exact same calipers on my ragtop. \:D/

Very nice. =D> Did that muffler come fully coated like that? I like it. I didn't get too crazy unwrapping it while it was here. Flanged J tube type header for when you get tired of cal-look and start thinking a heater would be nice on those cold Canadian mornings. :-$

Front doors? You have to train the seals. Leave them closed for a while and they will get better. Also be sure that the flap around the outside edge of the window frame is folded the right way. Sometime I tape it down and leave it.

Door adjustment affects the way the forward edge of the window frame touches the A pillar. When the window frame touches the A pillar, it pushes the back corner of the door down. I usually start with the top hinge adjusted all of the way out to give the window frame maximum room. Don't pay too much attention to the dog leg gap. You want the rear corner/edge to look good, and door to function.

Cargo doors suck too. Smile

Try cutting 1/3 of the seal off. Length-wise on the hinge sides.
