Anneal the parts you want to bend back out and it will move like butter.  Acetylene only to blacken, then neutral flame on the torch to burn off the soot.  Use the biggest tip you have.

 

If you don’t anneal, it will likely crack from being folded up and work hardened.

I’ve got a couple of friends who race FV in RMVR.  They love it.  One of them, a kid named Sterling has a couple that I believe he rents out.  It’s a very interesting and somewhat affordable class.  Pretty much all stock parts.  I have a customer who races an NSU as well, though that thing is slow, slow, slow.  It’s racing, but not pushing people out of the way and landing on your roof racing.  That happens very rarely.

 

If nothing else, it’s fun and free to just go check out.  There are always interesting cars and people there.  I always try to make the Pueblo Enduro at the end of Summer.

Quite a few shops do that.  I was watching a show recently about some German guy who has a shop in Baja that does nothing but run a fleet of rental race cars and support vehicles for folks who have always wanted to race Baja.  Probably expensive, but way cheaper than fielding a team.

Well..  I haven’t participated in anything this year!!!

i fixed the hood and put it back on..  put some front shocks on and she’s ready to race!

I told Corporate her and I should do a race together…. I think it would be fun!!  Although my back still hurts 🤫
