Agreed! More accessories = more chicks… I think?
Started a project today that was pretty far down my to-do list but just sorta fell into my lap recently. Was in Oceanside and saw this doka outside of a bike shop and the owner had some door panels he was trying to get rid of that were in a lot better shape than mine.
I swapped the window switches, power mirror control, and other bits over to the new panels and they look so much better already.I think I’m gonna try to get the drivers side panel a bit wet and then squish it a bit more flat then make some caps or something to cover the window crank holes and call it good! No more duct-taped door panels!
Decided to order some Retrosound 4″ speakers while I’m in there too because mine were tired and blown.WillyModeratorAugust 20, 2019 at 4:49 pmPost count: 764in reply to: 1957 Euro Palm Green/Sand Green, Logos, Semaphores #38422

Anyone else see this ?https://www.facebook.com/BusinessInsider.Cars/videos/874335192937641/
I did! Pretty sweet collection. In other celebrity car collector news, there is a new season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee on Netflix. In one of them, Jerry drives his own Avacado Green Thing and in the intro, he gives Russel from Old Speed a huge shoutout which is who also helps Fluffy take care of his cars. Pretty cool the respect they have for him and his shop.WillyModeratorAugust 14, 2019 at 10:10 amPost count: 764WillyModeratorAugust 13, 2019 at 1:44 pmPost count: 764WillyModeratorAugust 13, 2019 at 1:11 pmPost count: 764
Seeing all these Tacoma’s with the bed racks got the wheels turning in my head about getting the tent out of the back of the truck to be a bit more useful. After a few excursions, I think I want to keep the center of gravity lower and not put the tent into orbit by having it above the roofline on a rack, like this one:
I think something that gets the tent just high enough out of the bed to fit a 27.5 bike in the back and some gear would be super helpful and add even more useability to the camping/overland rig status. Drew a little design and then actually found this one on Google, some guys in Utah that I’m sure Cole, you probably know. I’d like to copy it but need to figure out how I’d make it fit with the factory rack thing. 🤔
I like that it adds some utility to the sides though, and you could still slide gear in and out when you drop the gates. Might just have to cut some holes and clearance it for all the jagd stuff…WillyModeratorAugust 12, 2019 at 1:01 pmPost count: 764WillyModeratorAugust 12, 2019 at 12:59 pmPost count: 764in reply to: 1957 Euro Palm Green/Sand Green, Logos, Semaphores #38165
