Note to self… find a black ambulance fan switch. ๐
Awesome to see the glass in.
in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62607If the tinted rear glass is nice and has the right logos, let’s do that…
If there’s an issue with the tinted rear let me know and I’ll dig something out and ship it.
Nice save on the Jalousie!
Been a long couple days… setting up for an industrial equipment show.
in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62470Chadโฆwhere do you want the pop out widow? Pass rear?
Yep… it goes inside the cabinet. Only hole with a hinge. ๐
in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62454Raw aluminum on tent mounts.
Outside hold down straps were late bay window and aftermarket. The two inside straps are all we need.
Ya, only thing I can think of is make sure wiring is all in place that goes along roof. Dome light, wall sconces, etc. Then headliner. Then cots and covers.
in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62452From Clara… Cab headliner panels should be birch and are longer than standard SO42
in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62408Should just use IRS Beetle parts on the rear end since it’s getting lowered. 944 stuff is for stock height.
in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62390Bingo! Thatโs the exhaust piece.
please ship it to:
Blackline Racing
613 West 300 South
Blackfoot, ID 83221Looking good! That tent is pain.
in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62380I’m having an engine built by Blackline Racing for another project. We’re missing a part that I’m suspicious may be down there with you guys. It’s a small piece of ceramic coated exhaust from an A1 Header. 1 1/2″, tight bend and flanged. If it’s there, it’s probably in the box with the miscellaneous left over engine parts from the 2015cc engine I brought you.
Can you check for me?
in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62379Not going to make BBB this year unfortunately. Thatโs ok. I want to drive a bus down there next time I go.
One time I went to BBB when I didnโt have a busโฆ. it totally suckedโฆ If your gonna go to BBB, and want the right experience, you gotta DRIVE a bus and SLEEP in a busโฆ Top is looking greatโฆ Pat is killing it!!!! I love that picture on the homepage with all the clecoโs holding the aluminum down..
I totally agree… I’ve towed my Deluxe down several times. But I’ve never driven a bus all the way there. Bucket list.
in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62351No cab interior panels for 2-3 months from Clara. She is healing from an injury.
The Westy tent mounts were in the bus somewhere right?
in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62311woohooโฆ more parts are here.. More progress can be made!! I bet Chad is going to bbb..

in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62216Gretchen, they really are the best split camper model. My favorite part is actually the folding roof cots. They give you somewhere to put all of the stuff thatโs normally in the way in the bus so you donโt have to shuffle stuff around to go to bed.
I made the mistake of selling this bus once already, not going to do that again. ๐
in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62197I had Scooby on board day one… nice to hear Corporate has finally come around. ๐
I found a good correct logo wing glass. Will ship Monday.
in reply to: Chad’s ’66 SO36 Dormobile #62167Riley,
