Hells yeah.. Daily progress! That’s how we roll…. 😎
Luck is when preparation and opportunity meet.👊
Some top photos I’ve taken incase it helps… note that these were all cut-ins. Not originals.
Vintage speed muffler arrived today.
Hi, do you guys have experience with sound dampening material on the long term?
With the buses not being watertight i have always been afraid this will keep humidity in and favor rust.
Would be interested to get feedback from people who have this installed for some years.
thanks!
I’ve had the retromat in my bus for 5 years. I can’t say that it gets very wet in our high desert high climate though.
It has stayed adhered to the backside of the sheet metal just fine…Being made from closed cell foam and tar, it shouldn’t absorb any moisture. The doors are the only places on a bus that will regularly see water on the inside. If the drain holes are open and the mat is stuck-down without wrinkles there should not be any chance of getting water behind it.
This bus is awesome! Nice Job KCW, Dormobiles have always been my favorite, so much room and light inside.
New wiper assembly is supposed to show up USPS on Friday.
Yup… Love it… Big man camper… This is one of those you keep out of the weather and only pull out for the good camp trips…. 😎

It is soooo spacious in there with the top up!! Feels like a high ceiling for a house even! 😁 I can’t imagine sleeping in the cot by those big windows in the roof 😍😍😍
I can’t believe all the ROOM!!!!!! 😎 😎 Lucky Man Chad!!!! 😎
It’s been fun working with someone who is as active as you on the forums!!! The forums keep us informed.. and all the info in one spot… The customer never has to wonder if we did anything…. 😎 This platform of communication has been awesome for KCW in all it’s almost 21 years…. 😎

My kids loved the last one… they may be too big now.
^^^ Great pic!!!
Haven’t forgotten about you. Working on parkway projects the last couple days.
Hoping to be back on this tomorrow… 🤞🤞🤞
We will build it if it comes.
Dads been working on frames this morning while I’ve been cleaning up glass for the windows.
Started cleaning the wing mirror glass a bit ago and noticed that one of the windows was SUPER scratched up.
Found a replacement in the KCW stash but it’s Durvit brand rather than Sekurit brand.
Chad, OG piece that’s scratched, Durvit piece with incorrect logo, or would you like to source a correct logo better piece?
Riley,
I’ll do a quick check in my pile tonight and let you know on the glass.
Corporate came out this morning and stood in yoru bus… First words out of her mouth.. “OMG!!!!!”
