We need to get this trans over to Painters and order a BRAND NEW 1914cc… That will surely take a few weeks… 😎 😎 😎
I am going to keep working on the pan today.. Get that lip chiseled off the inside, cut the tunnel open and reinforce the clutch tube, get out a broken bolt and get it moved out to the blast booth.. Then I guess I will get the body out and do the last few things done to it before it gets blown apart and blasted for the last time!!! 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 Round up a good deck lid too…
Sounds like a bunch of blasting coming up..
Never make someone a priority, that makes You and Option. 🤔🤔🤔🥲
Got the pan all dissected and holes cut for the clutch tube reinforcement. Got the broken bolt out and ground done rough spots… then got the body back out and started working on it… dug out a deck lid and got it on and fitting. Worked on the pass door fit done more and the 1/4 behind it..
Found a bird in the tunnel😜😜😜😜😜😜😜

Whew! Man, just went 14 days straight with no breaks with Ian resto efforts…a little crazy….
Lemme get back to your updated progress…..looking GREAT! Pan is really shaping up! Nice bird in the tunnel….at least it wasn’t a rat…don’t have to have a “rat rod”…lol!
I’d like to do a 2” narrowed CB front end with dropped spindles n adjusters….since their disc brake setup pushes the wheels out….like you said…probably only using the steering box, if it’s any good…..
I saw the backing plates n other brake stuff was missing on the rear…..just drums on axles….maybe it all froze up on someone….
Clutch tube looking a LOT better! Amazing how good the clutch works when that stuff is in place like it’s supposed to be!!!! lol!
Like the idea of stock gears with a high fourth for highway cruisin….stainless flex brake lines for a little bling under there! Would like super diff n HD side plate too! I’m not racing or a gear jammer, but like to have fun every now n then…need a nice Berg shifter like a GB 6710…don’t know if they still do that polished finger grip handle….
Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore!
All sounds good to me…. hey Tom… I assume we are keeping trim holes?? Not full cal look right? No t- bars or center lines? Trim in the windows… 😎 😎 😎
Pat and I are going to team up on this and knock out some work.. Get the body all body worked… Next is blow it apart and blast it!

What wheels do you want to run on this machine?
Pulling removables and taking care of all the little cracks, missing/broken hardware, correct hole locations, dent pulling, and whatever else we find along the way.
We will build it if it comes.

All removables pulled, major metal work done, in the booth ready for blasting.
Last few things checked off the list on the body as well. Hood cable tube.
And a OG horn bracket harvested from a well scavenged clip.
Ready for the blast booth in the morning.
We will build it if it comes.
Really looking tight!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 66 look so good!
Yes, wanna have all the trim on the body and around the windows. Full bumpers with overiders…the good ones..lol!
I really want those “Limited Edition” chrome with flat black 4808 BRMs that CB was selling……they only had 3 the last time I checked…but WAIT……I see I can order 5 now??! Lemme get on that 1st thing when they open in the am….

You guys are kicking ass on this. That’s the difference between a body shop and you guys. You know all the weird little details and what needs to be there (horn braket for example).
I can’t wait to see the paint fly on this one.

Yup… That makes a HUGE difference.. I/We, don’t have to ask how something is supposed to be, we all know, we have done it more than the average JOE! 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎

Blasting starts today!! Get the shell all blasted and perfect again… off the roll over dolly and onto a regular body dolly. Then we will put the pan on the roll over thingy… 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 Body work is around the corner!!!! 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎

Shell all Cleaned up!
Sanding for bodywork underway.
We will build it if it comes.
it’s come a long ways and is looking great
I called up CB Performance and got 5 of the chrome flat4 BRMs ordered. We also went ahead and ordered the narrowed beam, dropped spindle/disc brake kit, and carburetor kit from them.
I’m going to order an A1 Performance stainless steel sidewinder for heaterboxes if that sounds good? Or maybe you’d prefer a vintagespeed stainless super stock muffler (more quiet)?
