Finished up dressing the welds on the cab floor earlier this afternoon.
Then began working on dressing welds on the nose repair. Got about 90% of the way through with that.Don’t hate on Panama, she will be a better all around than your shiny thing when complete.
It going to be 100% solid and strong. ๐

I am very excited to have the kcw team getting her back in shape. This particular bus was in Panama until the mid 70s. It is a miracle it survived.

Means nothing. I have been a legal adult for over 5 decades and haven’t grown up yet. Willy has the same option.

Back to it this morning. OG heat tube sections arrived.ย
Working on the pass rear corner repair this morning.ย
We will build it if it comes.
Finished fitting and burning in the corner repair.ย
Same for the pass fender well repair I had started on previously.ย
Finished off the batt tray area with one last small repair.
Fitting the NOS heat tube section. Also need to tac weld the forward sections.ย

JJ started prepping the nose for bodywork yesterday.
Stripped it clean. Cleaned up the brazing along the bottom of the windows from the early nose job this bus had done years ago.
Working out some small dents now.ย
Riley is back to the grind today.ย
Finished welding in the heat tubes yesterday.ย
Dissected rear cargo door bottom. This morning. Ended up being worse then it looked. Need to order a new section.
Pulled the pass front door. Starting on bottom side rust repairs.ย
We will build it if it comes.
Great work kcw team!!! I will give her a good test run on shasta at some point.
Started today with dressing welds in the battery tray area and passenger fender well.
Got back from lunch and began scratching up the passenger side of the bus to get it ready for bodywork. -
