Holy Chit man!!!  Pat got a picture of Franz welding!!!!… those are hard… for some reason,  he hates us taking his picture.. 😎 😎 😎 Yet his international fan club loves em!!

We need more pictures.. More overlapping documentation and we need to be posting in all the current threads everyday. 😎 😎  It just makes sense. 😎 😎 😎

Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎

Shock mounts all figured out+tacked in place. Looking good on clearance and angles. Porsche 930 cv joints and stub axle mock-up.(thanks Pat) 6.5” of travel on the stock spring plates/stops. Lower shock mounts shortened 1.75”. The shock is square to the spring plate at full compression for progressive angle.

To repair the loose lower shock bolt holes, I trimmed and welded some Fox shock bushing adaptors. Should be stronger now.

Shit looks sooo sick…  I heard it might come off that frame table today!!    I guess it’s almost time to put that body back on!!!  Mock up

We are going to drive this car before we paint it… then tear it 100% apart and detail the fuck out of it… 😎

I dunno what else to say about this…  There is A LOT going on back there in the rear… 😎

Looks sick… nearly unduplicatable work, one of a kind.. the only one… 😎 😎  You would think that might be it for intense mock up and fab work.. but we have a mess load of batteries to hide too…. 😎

Killer project.  We are lucky to have a patient customer like Dan for this one…. 😎 😎 😎

Yeah, ready to cut off of the frame table on Monday after a couple more welds. I ran out of steam on Friday night after fitting the second upper shock mount. It just need to be fully welded along with some tacks on the panhead seam that I heard pop while twisting it back to strait.

Finished welding today and separated from the frame table.

This is the Fun part now…installing parts and doing mock-up. I need to order some tires soon, and see what we can figure out for batteries.

I drove my brother’s model Y this weekend, goddayum the acceleration is fucking unreal!! And I never even got it floored!

You guys better go over all the vw spot welds…

I heard T cars were #1 in sales by $, probably cause they are so expensive, but will soon be #1 by volume. Those things are everywhere out in cal, almost like beetles in the 70’s. They have been out what 5 years or more? and those motors don’t seem to quit… I bet there will be a lot of salvage stuff around in the near future…

Yeah, excited to get this going. Mock-up going well today. The body fit around the shocks with a little hammer work on the ribs in the package tray, and holes for the shock bolts.

They have been out over 10 years and motor and battery replacements are common. That being said tesla is a great car.
