Definitely intimidating at first. I’m still learning a lot. This is my first vw gear box. I’ve just done 644, 741 and 901 Porsche transmissions. But so far I can see all the similarities. Just a few different procedures.

luckily the synchros are available rusty:) no jb weld this time! Haha

Think I found why this transmission got pulled… haha 67F74317-4A12-4D08-B7A7-3F1540F73364F02436D7-37DD-4788-9F47-EE32B5D8FD2Apulled everything apart for the trans and washed it. Checked everything so I know what to order for it tonight. Slowly chipping away…

Your awesome Cole!!!!!! I’ve never had a trans apart like that…8-)  You are getting the best training on earth man!!!!!  😎

I am thinking anthracite…. I know it means more work for me… but if I’m going to do it, I might as well do it how I want right?

Conestoga Wagon style. Pretty straight forward to build. Never made one for a car, but did build a couple for old ranch horse drawn wagons and one on the back of a POC pickup.
