Wow… What a last few weeks…  It’s been a whirlwind for sure… 😎  😎  😎  I think we have done about all we can do.. Now… It’s on Cole’s shoulders to get the engine put together…  I guess we could go ahead an put the body on… But I don’t think Franz has the given the go ahead on that yet..  😎  Franz is of course the head clean shop project coordinator!  😎  😎  😎  and I LIKE it that way!!! 😎  😎  😎  I think they have some e brake stuff to deal with and then it’s time.. But.. Maybe, we should marry the engine to the pan before we put the body on.. like factory?? 😎  😎  😎

Engine…  Coles building some odd combination of 40 horse and 1600 parts that Jack likes… Late 40 horse tin, it’s basically a 1600… with less power and more complicated to build like Porsche guys like it.. 😎  😎  😎

Car has come out awesome, proud of all our work and Coles work on the project.  It’s been fun… We have all grown closer and a tighter family than before, which in all reality, is more important than the car build… 😎  😎  😎

SO awesome watching this come from apart.  😎  😎  😎    Cole has learned more about Beetles in the last two weeks than the average VW guy will ever get the chance to learn.  A “Boot camp for 62-67 type 1’s” 😎  😎  😎  😎  😎  Or maybe we should call this intern number 4??  Lets see… Matt Did his..  I had this young kid that did a few weeks with me before I decided he was just tooooo green for me to instruct.. 😎 and I cut it short.. Preston.  Then I guess I kinda did one with Jason Reich on his 58 23 window.. Not sure what that was.. more like he lived with me while I did the paint and body on his bus, I feed him, my wife did his laundry and he rode shotgun next to me in my slammed 47 while I ran his bus through the shop for nothing…  It was awesome, more like an internship for me to learn not to do internships… 😎  😎  and then… WTF was Willy??  Was he an intern doing his SO42?? He lived with me my wife fed him, he may have done his laundry… and now.. I have my boy COLE!!!!!!!!  That is actually 5!!!   Wow… Cinco!!!!!  OH… Shit… what was Glenn???  He slept at my house, was fed many times and housed for months I think.. shit.. I think Glenn is 5 and Cole is 6!!!!!!    Lucifer’s death squad shirt wearing favorite number 666 LAST ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎

In short.. I am getting out of the Education and internship program and cancelling the dude ranch experience and any and all potential future buddy projects…  I am all SET on my Volunteer program hours, paid up and the box checked off… 😎  😎  😎

We mounted the body to the pan this afternoon. Then bolted on wheels and rolled it outside…it’s tall. Maybe taller than Cole was envisioning. I think it’s going to settle a little, and some taller tires would probably help.

HAHA! This thing is Colorado high! Was super super high yesterday. Did not look good with the wheels and tires I had… Franz did some master wizardry today and messed with the adjusters and brought her down a few inches! Here is how it stands tonight with no fuel, no seats, and not being driven at all. I’m sure it will settle down a bit once it’s driven. Looking great! Definitely wanting some bfg’s once these tires wear out. It’ll look badass. Motor break in today! Sounding good. Great little 43 1/4 hp motor;) haha just odds and ends now and then some test driving! Loving all the help and fun times working on this thing! Couldn’t be happier about my couple weeks here! A bit behind schedule… but man we have been kicking ass!
