Rear heater is out, it had a leak on the side of the plastic fitting. Eliminated that.
Heat is crazy nice up front. I did some tuning on it to help the fuel mpg.
Ill get into the front heater fan tomorrow. I’m afraid to get it apart and it need Parts.. it might do more harm than good taking it apart without having a spare unit to take Parts from???
Looks like a easy buy
Better yet here is the napa part number

It makes me beyond happy to know my van in back in capable hands getting properly fixed!! It was like leaving my baby with a stranger when I had to leave it in Idaho Springs haha

I know why Andy’s been quiet. I heard him mumbling about broken VW parts again…🤭🤭
We will build it if it comes.
What a party this is!! Got the heater unit out. Finally got it opened up, found the loudass fan. Franz is ordering a new one, tomorrow I’ll have that and reassemble it.
Its worn out and flopping around. I noticed yesterday that the it only had 2 speeds?? Not 3?

I’m not sure how I got reeled into this repair…
All part of the prep for your move to Colorado Andy.
Looks like the head gaskets were the easy part.
New German blower motor just arrived. Andy is on it!
Hooked up the hatch emblem too.
Only thing left is the Lower cover to hide the radio wires. Otherwise Back in action. Gonna eat then go for a long ride. Blower motor is quiet now and all 3 speeds work too.
