Keeping up with the Jones’ continues! The whole family had a hand in Audrey’s vanagon yesterday and it’s now completely stripped and ready for Corporate and Audrey to start designing an interior….

we had a great time yesterday cleaning and removing stuff on the Vanagon… We ripped all that AC shit out first thing!!!!

Going to order her a subi kit next week if I can swing it… 😎

Goal is to have her driving this Vanagon by thanksgiving… Drive it home after Thanksgiving break!!!!

I’m glad to get my kids out of Honda’s and back into Volkswagens!!!!

I very cool, I support this idea!! Your daughter will love this thing. I looked on your Craigslist, there’s some nice donors on there, spend $1000 to $1500 on a complete driving subi. Get a 2.5 engine, I like the 2.5 SOHC but the DOHC will work too. I wouldn’t mess with a 2.2 in this thing.

Huge thanks to my whole awesome family for getting out there and getting dirty all day in heat to clean out my Vanagon!! It was a fun weekend… and very productive! We have a nice clean slate to work with now??????

I know this isn’t the typical KCW build… ????? but I am soooo excited!!! It’s gonna be fun to change it up… plus this can always be a stepping stone to a splitty one day ??????? I gotta say, this thing has SO MUCH SPACE!!!! It’s going be fun designing a cool camping interior for sure!! Corporate and I can’t wait! ???

Nice Audrey!

I loved my Vanagon, only thing, it was super slow. I built a 2366cc aircooled engine for it and it still would barely move. Subi power is probably a great choice. My cousin just swapped her Vanagon to Subi and drove cross country with it. Only had one small issue with a sensor or something.

If there is anything in life that will make a man have to eat some crow… it’s his kids… 😎   And mine are worth it… 😎 😎  So bring it on!!!!  Kick me in the balls all you want… 😎  I asked for it… 😎  😎   I will be happy to have Audrey back in a VW… and going to be a camper too…. !

So true Glenn, made me think of lots of great childhood memories! Super cool that this time it is on my bus!! I’m still a little bit in disbelief… I can’t believe it’s really mine!!! ??

Sounds like the subi motor will take me anywhere I need to go! That will be nice for me… I have some learning to do before I can be a roadside mechanic! ?

Super fun weekend!!!  We seem to all work well together!  Audrey’s right, can’t wait to turn this blank slate into a unique camper!!!  We have great, hard working kids who spent most of their childhood in or around VW’s.  I am so glad it must have been positive overall, since they both want to drive VWs now!!!!  I loved having something we could all work on together!
