Got the left C pillar and hinge pocket rebuilt yesterday, short rocker and cargo rocker burned in ๐Ÿ˜€ย Doing lower nose today, front floor next ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

I’ve been slathering Rust Bullet in the body cavities over my marginal sandblasting for a little protection.

Things are looking up for this poor bus!

Yes I’m ignoring the roof for now, getting the lower stuff back in place. It will need some shrinking and bending, and another hole closed up. ๐Ÿ™„

Snowing today, can’t go to real work ๐Ÿ˜€ย  ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

A little progress this week ๐Ÿ™‚

WW rockers I had in stock. I like the e coat on their metal but it doesn’t go inside the rockers so not much use there ๐Ÿ™„ย  Wish they would ship them in 2 pieces so they can be installed right.

C pillar and short rocker came out nice, cargo door should fit better now. I fucked up and didn’t buy the long C pillar for the other side, wasting time rebuilding that one now ๐Ÿ™„

Epic bus! That will be a standout after the KCW treatment. Can’t wait to see the engine lid in SWR. ๐Ÿ˜€

Like I said, first time for me for complete doglegs. Try that next time ๐Ÿ™‚

There is a whole order on what comes first when you are doing that much new metal. It can go smooth or not depending on the order of installation.

Inside first, why would anyone do it opposite?

The side gate is rotted out on the bottom. Like everything on that single.

If it was a 55 it would be a great project,ย will take a lot of new metal for ย just a 60 tho.

This thing is so fucked, it needs a new everything from the cab back, and a lot in front too. After I pulled the bed and floor off by hand I decided that the 58 was an easier project ๐Ÿ˜†

Dog leg going in, C pillar going out. Rocker today ๐Ÿ™‚

This is the first bus I’ve done complete doglegs on. I thought they would be hard to remove, clean up and align the new. They come out fast, clean up nice and have lots of points to align them properly. Iย have spent way too much time in the past repairingย doglegs! They are always full of hidden rust anyway.

Wife said yesterday “this bus is going to be all green soon” ๐Ÿ˜€

Sammy and Sadie are welcome anytime!

My roof is looking Great! if you Ignore all the sticks holding the bow in that tweaked skin, ๐Ÿ˜ณ what a hot mess. More green metal came in this week so I’m back on the lower side, I’ll go back to the roof when I feel like taking a beating ๐Ÿ˜กย

You will definitely need a lift on your seats, standard stuff with a body lift. Personally I was over those in the 90’s. Not much point in body lift, other than looks.
